The panel deals with aspects and problems of the long history of Philippine cinema where around 80% of its heritage is lost forever. We will try to address important issues like nation building under the constant threat of cultur and identity loss. The experiences of the Philippines in this regard can be read as an example for all countries in the region of Southeast Asia.
