Eight-year-old Mia sets off on a journey to catch an owl, in order to fulfil the last promise she made to her older sister, who has just died of cancer.
Constantin Müller is a screenwriter and director. In 2013, he finished his training as a media designer for images and sound at ZDF in Mainz. Following that, he began studies in time-based media at University of Applied Sciences Mainz. MIA AND THE OWL is his final student film. Since 2014 Müller has worked as a volunteer at the children’s hospice organisation Bärenherz in Wiesbaden. In 2018, he began studying marketing and communication in Wiesbaden. Before MIA AND THE OWL he directed several short films and advertisements.
