For the fifth time, the contest for best short film from Wiesbaden takes place. Ten films by directors either born or living here were choosen. The contest also is part of the "Filmstadt Wiesbaden" program, initiated in co-operation with the Cultural Offices Wiesbaden. This local contest presents all short film genres, from feature film to documentary, experimental to animation films, including two world premieres.
The prize money of EUR 500 goes to the director of the winner film and is sponsored by the Wiesbadener Kurier newspaper, exground filmfest’s local media partner. The audience will decide on 2009’s winner – the result will be announced in the framework of the award ceremony for the German Short Film contest on November 22, 2009.
