"Hit the Road, Jack!" Mark and his girlfriend’s relationship has come to a halt. They should discuss how to go on, but Mark tries hiding in routine. However, daily grind can get out of control rapidly: Mark oversleeps the day of an important presentation and is late, without documents and unprepared for the due date. Stressed out, he runs home where he begins to sus pect his girlfriend of having a lover. With the feeling of having lost control, he buys a caravan and leaves. Crisscross on Spanish country roads, taking hitchhikers a bit further. As varied as the landscape are the fellow travellers and their stories. Insights gained from these stories and his life drive Mark to go on. No aim, no plan, not knowing what he hopes to find.
ROAD SPAIN is a roadmovie in beautiful images and odd characters, with life squeezed into a camper and asking, can escaping oneself succeed?
